MINI-CASSIA – Volunteers arrived in large numbers early on Saturday, March 30th, 2013 to help prepare for one of the largest community events in the Spring. The Community Easter Egg Hunt began weeks prior to the event with egg stuffing accomplished by hospital volunteers and employees who stuffed over 5,000 eggs. The annual Easter Egg Hunt was welcomed in with warm weather and a plentitude of volunteers consisting of members from the local 4-H groups, hospital volunteers, and community members. The egg hiding was completed in record time as all 40 plus volunteers spread out on the front lawn of Cassia Regional Medical Center. This year the hunt was a bit different as there were no major prizes and the focus was on sharing and the spirit of the Easter egg hunt tradition.
As the event neared its start time of 10:00 a.m., multitudes of community members began to slowly converge upon the hospital grounds. Lined up around each age group area parents and restless children waited for the ambulance and fire truck sirens to go off to sound the start of the hunt. At 10:00 the sirens sounded and children ran, sprinted, and hopped across their respective areas collecting candy. The Community Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success and has become a tradition for Cassia Regional’s employees and the Mini-Cassia community.
Cassia Regional Medical Center would like to thank the following businesses and community members for their support of the event.
