Police reports Jan 20, 2012

12:22 a.m. – Caller reported a stranger in the area, would like to have an officer check on him.

4:09 a.m. – Malta resident deputy cleaning out some culverts to prevent flooding.

5:40 a.m. – Caller reported stop light at 27th and Overland is not cycling properly. It will not change to allow northbound traffic to proceed. Deputy checked it and it appears to be working properly.

7:03 a.m. – Officer responded to a call about domestic dispute in southeast quadrant of Burley. Verbal only.

7:46 a.m. – Dispatch advised that an officer is enroute to Utah with one male and one female inmate for transfer.

7:55 a.m. – Civil paper service on Malta Avenue in Burley.

8:01 a.m. – Civil paper service on Miller Avenue in Burley.

8:03 a.m. – Burley woman called; has a leak under her house and is requesting that her water be shut off.

8:12 a.m. – Officer served papers to home on Yale Avenue in Burley.

8:13 a.m. – Officer investigated one car slide-off. Branton H. Moon, 18, Heyburn, failed to maintain lane; accident report filed.

9:12 am. – Officer investigated one car slide-off. Patty K. Walker, 68, Burley, slid off road and went through a fence. No injuries. No lane blockage.

10:47 a.m. – Caller reported she is caring for grandparents’ home while they are away. A strange van is parked near the residence. She will be off work soon and will check on home then. If she needs assistance, she will call again. Called to tell dispatch the car belonged to a relative from Hagerman.

11:00 a.m. – Officer initiated traffic stop; Christopher M. Tilley, 25, Rupert, cited for speeding; 21st and Y Streets, Heyburn.

12:41 p.m. – Officer investigated minor accident at 8th and Overland; Shelley Snow, 41, Paul; vs. Troy J. George, 23, Burley; two car crash; no injuries, no blockage. Red Ford vs. Green Mustang.

12:54 p.m. – Civil paper service on E. 13th Street in Burley.

12:56 p.m. – Civil paper service on Almo Avenue in Burley.

13:30 p.m. – Juvenile probation requested an officer to pick up a juvenile for discretionary time.

13:40 p.m. – Civil paper service on Miller Avenue in Burley.

13:40 p.m.  – Civil paper service on Burton Avenue in Burley.

13:42 p.m. – A caller from Overlook Trailer Park requested an officer come by so they could sign a complaint about vicious dogs at large.

15:33 p.m. – Reporting party advised dispatch that he lives in Texas and has property on Hansen Avenue in Burley; he was advised by his rental property manager that someone has entered the home and vandalized and damaged the home.

15:52 p.m. – Traffic stop at 2487 Hansen Avenue; Erica K. Bywater, 26, Arco, was cited for failure to stop at a school bus with arm and flashing lights.

15:53 p.m. – Officer responded to 2281 Overland Avenue where a juvenile male was detained for shoplifting.

15:59 p.m. – Dispatch advised that someone threw tomatoes at the caller’s car during the night.

16:08 p.m. – Officer responded to two vehicle minor injury accident; at Main Street and Oakley Avenue; Max Montana Hensen, 27, Burley, cited for failure to maintain insurance and for improper left hand turn.

16:10 p.m. – Officer out with non-reportable accident at 13th Street and Overland Avenue.

16:12 p.m. – Caller reported someone was in her car between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. today. Car appeared to have been ransacked and moved.

17:05 p.m. – Officer advised dispatch that he was flagged down by a passerby and told there are cows out in the Jackson area.

17:09 p.m. – Dispatch advised that an open 911 line detected a male subject and approximately two female subjects fighting in background, in the area of 4th Street North and Overland Avenue.

17:38 p.m. – Caller requested welfare check on children ages two years and six months; mother does not care for them; they are always sick and always in dirty clothes and diapers. Officer responded; unable to make contact with parent.

18:17 p.m. – Caller complained about a number of juveniles in nearby parking lot with loud music; requested that they be advised to turn music down; officer indicated juveniles were moving from the area.

18:55 p.m. – Officer called to come to home where abuse was reported; he responded; children are clean and cared for; house is clean; one child just getting over the flu; has a prescription. No sores or sign of abuse; case clear.

19:38 p.m. – Officer responded to two-vehicle accident; two male subjects arrested; Blue Ford pickup vs. red Mustang; driver falsified information, as did passenger; pair told cops the passenger was driving, after having switched places before officer arrived; other driver told officer what had happened; passenger admitted truth when officer told him he would be held responsible. Pair tried to tell officer the blue Ford had been driving without lights, but the driver had come from south of Burley and would not have been able to see in the country without headlights. Rodolfo H. Gonzalez, 19, Rupert, charged with driving without privileges, failure to yield at stop sign and failure to provide proof of insurance. Jacob A. Randolph, 19, Burley, arrested for providing false information to police officer. No treatable injuries reported.

20:17 p.m. – Reporting party said two large dogs are roaming in his neighborhood. One is a large golden retriever type; the other a chocolate brown and while dog.

20:32 p.m. – Traffic stop; Brady L. Lierman, 25, Oakley, cited for failure to yield at red stop light.

20:48 p.m. – Caller reported his two dogs missing; matched description of dogs reported earlier. He found the golden retriever but was still missing the shorthaired pointer; called back later that he had located both dogs.

20:52 p.m. – Traffic stop at 1600 Overland Avenue; Crystal Alexander, 20, Albion, failure to renew vehicle registration.

20:59 p.m. – Caller reported a semi that had jack-knifed on Yale Road and Hwy 81, near Cotterell Port of Entry. No injuries, but semi is difficult to see and poses a traffic hazard.

21:19 p.m. – Caller reported a black Ford pickup pulling a horse trailer without any lights on I-84 at MP 263 eastbound.

22:23 p.m. – Walk-in complaint about a subject harassing and threatening her. She was told to contact her attorney.

23:34 p.m. Reporting party advised there is a semi that is unloading a gas substance into the air. RP believes it could be a bio-hazard and a specialist should be on scene. Officer contacted Cotterell Port of Entry and learned the person was only releasing oxygen and the status is clear.

January 21, 2012

12:15 a.m. – Officer at residence on Redwood Drive, attempting to locate a runaway. She was located and turned over to her father.

1:44 a.m. – Caller reported a speeding semi at MP 222 westbound on I-84. Caller willing to sign.

4:06 a.m. – Domestic disturbance; Alejandra Rangel Calderon, 20, Burley arrested on probation violation; possible DUI.

5:42 a.m. – Local towing company reported they are on the way to help a semi that is stuck in the mud causing partial lane blockage on Hwy 81 east of Burley.

8:41 a.m. – Caller reported a white four door car slid off the west bound shoulder of I-84 at milepost 264. Caller unable to stop. Message relayed to Idaho State Police by dispatcher.

9:00 a.m. – Caller reported plan to repo vehicle at residence in Burley.

9:45 a.m. – Report of rollover at MP 207-208 I-84 Eastbound, blue Dodge Neon, possible injuries. Car is in the median on its wheels. Minidoka dispatched medical assistance; ISP also involved.

9:52 a.m. – Caller reported an abandoned maroon Ford truck facing uphill in the downhill land on Howell Canyon Road. Vehicle was towed by Motion Motors.

10:04 a.m. – Motorist assist at MP 263 on I-84; slide off, grey or silver sedan slid off the road; information relayed to ISP.

10:26 a.m. – Reporting party advised a green Blazer sitting in front of her house with a male subject in it has been there for about 30-45 minutes; unknown plates. Neighbor reported that the subject is waiting for daughter; everything is okay.

11:51 a.m. – Green Chevy pickup has slid off into the median on south Sweetzer Road. Relayed to ISP.

11:58 a.m. – Two large dogs that have been dropped off in the area of 100 E. Hwy 30; they have been in the area approximately three days.

12:44 p.m. – White mini-van slid off the shoulder of I-84 at MP 254; relayed to ISP.

13:00 p.m. – Caller reported water running into trailer park from street in southeast Burley; Street department personnel would go up and try to clean drains so water would not flood area.

13:06 p.m. – Three car crash, no injuries; MP 256 I-84; Referred to ISP.

14:49 p.m. – Caller advised that road at Magic Mountain is becoming treacherous; Several cars stuck in parking lot at Diamondfield Jack’s snowmobile area; snow at least a foot deep.

15:05 p.m. – Caller reported she hit a straw bale at MP 17, Hwy 81. No injuries, no lane blockage.

16:34 p.m. – Reporting party advised a dark colored passenger vehicle that is stuck in the median at MP 259 I-84; State was advised.

17:08 p.m. – Reporting party advised that he received word that there is a vehicle parked at his property in Burley. He is currently living in North Dakota and advised that the residence is supposed to be vacant. Reporting party would like the house checked on to make sure everything is okay; if there is a vehicle parked there, the homeowner advised that he will have it towed. Vehicle tagged.

17:39 p.m. – Caller advised there is a white four door pickup that is stuck sideways two miles up on Howell Canyon Road. The reporting party is concerned that the subjects coming off the mountain will either hit the other vehicle or go off the cliff. He reported he is in a grey GMC pickup and is also stuck and will need a tow. He said a sand truck is trying to help the white truck out.

18:07 p.m. – Dispatch spoke with male subject earlier about someone parking at his residence. He agreed to have vehicle towed at his expense; also concerned that neighbors are using his driveway and his garbage container. Wants to know about having them trespassed.

18:58 p.m. – Caller advised that he was following a red Toyota Corolla eastbound on 16th Street. Caller advised that the driver of the vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the road and was swerving. Caller did not see who was driving, but the vehicle was parked at a yellow brick home and caller wanted officers to watch for car.

19:28 p.m. – Officer initiated traffic stop; driver cited for speeding.

19:42 p.m. – Caller reported a semi off the road in the median at MP 264 I-84. Caller unsure of anything further, as there is a complete white-out. ISP was advised and is requesting help.

19:47 p.m. – Traffic stop; Taylor Wayne Davids, 20, Burley, cited for failure to show proof of insurance.

19:48 p.m. – Officer advised he will be out with a tree in the road. He is directing traffic until IRD can come and take care of the issue. Deputy reported that a vehicle hit the tree and broke it up enough that he could move it.

19:59 p.m. – Reporting party advised that his 14-year-old daughter has received text messages from a friend threatening to harm himself. Reporting party advised that all they knew was a name and phone number. Officer advised the juvenile is at home with his mom and is not suicidal. Mothers would like the reporting party’s daughter to stop texting for the night.

20:02 p.m. – Caller reported that there is a subject coming to her residence at night and is hitting her house with what the reporting party believes is a hammer. She was advised that an officer will do extra patrol in the area to watch for prowlers.

20:13 p.m. – Logan J. Urrizaga, 18, Burley, turned himself in on an Ada County warrant.

20:16 p.m. – Reporting party called and reported a vehicle that came into the parking lot where she works and parked beside her car just before closing time. She would like to have the suspicious vehicle checked on before she goes out to her car.

20:21 p.m. – Officer reported he was out with a semi blocking both lanes at MP 263 I-84 eastbound.

21:34 p.m. – Officer responded to report of landowner diverting flood water onto neighbor’s land; the man was trying to keep water out of his barn, but it was not  on the neighbor’s property. It is a civil issue.

January 22, 2012

12:27 – Officer out with vehicle seen at produce place in Paul. Owner was contacted and said no one should be at business at this hour.

3:01 a.m. – Reporting party advised her ex-husband is driving around her home and threatening and harassing her. He was warned by police to stay away. There was an altercation with another male, but no charges were filed.

9:31 a.m. – Traffic stop; Ty B. warner, 18, Aberdeen, cited for speeding.

9:56 a.m. – Traffic stop; Reana Lyn, 333, Pingree, cited for safety restraint violation.

10:07 a.m. – Traffic stop; Miguel Angel Arteaga-Ruiz, 26, Hazelton, cited for failure to show insurance and safety restraint violation.

10:58 a.m. – Traffic stop; Kerry W. Clark, 56, Heyburn, cited for failure to provide proof of insurance.

11:18 a.m. – Traffic stop; Yerania Yuliana Nogales, 27, Boise, cited for speeding.

11:40 a.m. – Caller reported that her ex-husband has been at her home three times, trying to get in the house. She said he was most likely trying to retrieve a gun he owns; she was advised to go to courthouse the next day and see about a restraining order.

13:32 p.m. – Caller reported woman at his door who claimed she was in an accident three to five days ago.

15:41 p.m. – Officer responded to motorist assist at MP 11 on I-86, Chevy Cavalier broken down; also relayed to ISP.

18:38 p.m. – Caller reported having a verbal altercation with ex’s new girlfriend; she tried to speak with her in a civil manner because she has mental issues. The reporting party is going to try to get a restraining order the next day and will call back if she has more problems.

19:48 p.m. – Parking violation; Keah Grace Rose, 53, Burley, cited for parking where traffic device prohibits parking.
