Witt’s loving heart
BURLEY—Witt Darryl Lewis’ life started out a little rough. He was less than 12 hours old when the doctors declared he had a heart condition—Aortic Stenosis.
The aortic valve was not opening, and since his heart was pumping blood through a tiny hole the left ventricle dilated so the mitral value could not close fully.
After having 3 surgeries, the aortic valve has opened a little more and the left ventricle became smaller but the mitral valve is still not closing.
Currently, the doctors and surgeons are trying their best to figure out the next step of Witt’s life.
Witt’s mother, Meagen Warner Lewis, travels between Sacramento to San Francisco to be with Witt, and though his father, Chancy Darryl Lewis, works in Idaho he makes time to see Witt.
The people who love little Witt, including his father, mother, sister, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins are holding a benefit for him. The benefit will be held Thursday, May 17, at the Burley High School lunchroom from 6 to 8 p.m.
The benefit is a silent auction that will have paintings, beauty and health baskets, a carriage ride, a picture package, braided reigns and more for sale.
There will be a $5 potato bar for those in need of a tasty meal. Music will be playing.
Any and all donations will be appreciated and can be made at any U.S. Bank for Witt’s Loving Heart. Check on Witt at< www.caringbridge.org/visit/wittlewis>.
