Cassia District conducting ‘Child Find’ screening


BURLEY – The Cassia Joint School District #151 is looking for preschool age children who may have special learning needs.

If  you are a parent or guardian of a three or four year old child who is experiencing a speech, physical, mental or emotional difficulty, you are encouraged to contact the Cassia Joint School District office. The staff will arrange for you and your child(ren) to participate in this screening.

Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, is the next scheduled screening. The purpose of the screening is to determine if your child is eligible for the District’s Special Education Preschool Program or other Special Education services. Children who have a disability may attend the preschool and receive special education services free of charge.

Appointments for the Feb. 3, screenings are required. For an appointment, call Michele Knopp at 878-6627, ext. 101, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Only children and parents who have appointments will be screened.
