BURLEY – The Burley Music Club enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Party at the Best Western Burley Inn, on Dec. 13, with special entertainment provided by Kristy Knight.
Knight, a newcomer to the area, comes with a long line of experience in the entertainment and private music field. Knight is a Reiki Master, a Master Rapid Eye Technician, and has spent many years learning Neural Linguistic Programming, Thai Yoga Massage, Essential Oils, Craniosacral Therapy, and has done test studies with homeopathy as a clinician in a chiropractic office.
Today, she is a life coach and teaches seminars on the Language of the Body with her husband, Dean G. Allen, PhD, while continuing to write and record songs that inspire spirituality.
Before her healing career, Kristy was an International singer, songwriter and recording artist. She has recorded 17 CDs of contemporary Christian music.
Her career includes involvement with Carol Lynn Pearson’s “The Dance,” and Lex DeAzevedo and Doug Stewart’s “The Day the Rain Fell,” where she had a leading role. She has also starred in several shows at the Hale Center Theater in Salt Lake City.
Knight was introduced by Karen Taylor, with her husband Dean.
The group sang Christmas Carols with Joy Hurst at the piano.
President Linda Croft presented each member with a decorative Christmas ornament.
The next Music Club meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at the LDS Church on Villa St., in Heyburn.
