RUPERT – The Rupert Trinity Lutheran Church has invited Gary Schorzman to speak on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. about the history of Germans in Russia.
The public is invited to an afternoon with Schorzman, following the chronological history of Germans from Russia. Beginning with Catherine the Great, to Rupert, Idaho, his presentation will include the Migration from Germany to Russia (Volga and Black Sea), and will include the Bolshevik Revolution and its consequences to the Germans living in Russia, and the families in America.
Schorzman has been invited to speak at several conventions of the Germans from Russia, and will go to Bismarck, North Dakota for their next meeting.
The Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 909 8th Street, in Rupert. This event is open to the public. A freewill offering will be accepted.
